This Privacy Policy explains what information Boostof Studios collects when you use our games and software, including the Board Game Collection, and how we use and protect it. By creating an account or signing in, you agree to the practices described here.
Who we are
Boostof Studios is a small independent team building accessible, cross-platform audio games. You can reach us any time at boostofstudios@gmail.com.
What we collect
We only collect what we need to run accounts and online multiplayer:
- Account information — the username you choose and a securely hashed form of your password. We never store your password in plain text.
- Google sign-in information (optional) — if you choose to sign in with Google, Google provides us with your Google account's unique identifier and your email address and basic profile (name). We use the unique identifier to recognise your account and your email only to create or link your account. Signing in with Google is entirely optional; you can always use a username and password instead.
- Gameplay data — your game statistics, rankings, and match history, so leaderboards and your profile work.
- Technical data — your IP address, a device identifier, and basic device/platform details, used to keep sessions connected, prevent abuse, and enforce bans.
How we use your information
- To create and secure your account and sign you in.
- To run online multiplayer, matchmaking, friends, chat, and leaderboards.
- To protect players and our servers from abuse, cheating, and banned users.
- To respond to you when you contact us for support.
What we do not do
We do not sell your personal information. We do not use it for advertising. We do not share it with third parties except where strictly necessary to operate the service (for example, our hosting provider) or where required by law.
Data retention and deletion
We keep your account data for as long as your account exists. You can delete your account at any time from within the game (Account settings), which removes your account and associated personal data from our active systems. You can also email us at boostofstudios@gmail.com to request deletion. If you signed in with Google, deleting your account also removes the link to your Google account; you can additionally revoke our access at any time from your Google account permissions page.
Children
Our games are intended for a general audience and are not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the “Last updated” date at the top of this page.
